"sisters"
i wanted to delve into my identity as a sister (specifically, a triplet), to visualize how i have felt in the past, and my journey to finding my own identity outside of my sisters (which has come more recently). the differentiating positions of light aided in me telling that story, shifting from quite flattering side light and a limited view, to the unflattering truth of front facing light and it’s looming shadows.
not only did light bring my idea and experience to life, but so did the black wig and similar yet different shirt, and the slight changes throughout the photo series.
