snippet of pre-writing: “each time i return home during the school year, stepping away from my college dorm, there is an odd air about the house—not negative nor positive, simply different. a distance forms between me and this place that i’ve lived in my entire life. i am greeted by the abundance of framed photographs adorning the hallway leading to my room; they speak to me like old friend would. i stop and say “hello” to their dust-laden surfaces, sunlight creating reflections of myself on their glass.” and then the series begins…
